President Trump announced his new Supreme Court nominee to a national audience this week. Countless legal experts, former colleagues, and even fake news anchors hailed the President’s nomination, with one blue state editorial board noting that “Kavanaugh’s record defies challenge.” Now we need Americans to call their Senators and demand they give a fair hearing to Judge Kavanaugh throughout the nomination process and ultimately support his confirmation.

500 DAYS

This week marks 500 days of American greatness under the Trump presidency. To keep track of President Trump’s many accomplishments, and overcome the distortions of the fake news media, we’ve created to deliver the true and complete Trump record to you. For the real record about President Donald Trump, forget the fake news media and go to

Remember when the Democrats and the Congressional Budget Office predicted economic catastrophe under a Trump presidency? Well, we’ve now reached 3.8% unemployment, another all-time record low African-American and Hispanic unemployment, and the lowest unemployment for women in 19 YEARS! The swamp in Washington has been all wrong about Donald Trump. With an economy this good, even the Failing New York Times said they ran out of words to describe our record growth under President Trump.

The Vice Chairman of North Korea just visited the White House, days before the historic June 12th summit between Kim Jong Un and President Trump. Now the world waits as President Trump prepares for a meeting that will hopefully lead to an unprecedented deal for the denuclearization of Korea permanently.

President Trump signed the VA Choice and Quality Employment Act into law this week. This legislation authorizes $2.1 billion dollars to ensure better healthcare for Veterans and give them more options to see a doctor. This once again demonstrates President Trump’s unshakable commitment to our heroic veterans.

As he promised, President Trump announced he’s ending the failed Iran nuclear deal. The Obama Iran nuclear deal was all carrot and no stick for the Iranian Mullahs, emboldening their sponsorship of terror groups and aggression in the region. The President will now allow a transition period to apply the toughest sanctions possible until Iran abandons its nuclear ambitions permanently.

President Trump secured the release of three hostages from captivity in North Korea in advance of the President’s upcoming summit with Kim Jong Un. During the visit, President Trump led bilateral meetings with President Macron and the French delegation to address issues of major importance, including Syria, the Iran nuclear deal, and trade between our two countries.

This week, the Democrats tried to block the nomination of Mike Pompeo as the Secretary of State in the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. Fortunately, the committee ultimately approved the measure to move on for a vote in the full Senate. Later in the week, the Senate voted and confirmed this important nomination of our top diplomat. President Trump, however, is condemning obstructionist Democrats for slow-walking his nominations of highly qualified candidates for sensitive positions in his administration. The President hopes for new measures in the near future to clear this unprecedented and partisan-driven backlog of his nominations in the U.S. Senate.

While in Florida, President Trump went to Key West to visit the Joint Interagency Task Force South, the organization that oversees the response to the trafficking of illicit drugs and humans for the sex trade. The task force is responsible for saving countless American lives through its work. President Trump always enjoys meeting with our law enforcement and Homeland Security personnel on the front lines of these life-saving battles.

President Trump met with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe last week to reaffirm the alliance between America and Japan. In major bilateral meetings, President Trump and Prime Minister Abe worked to continue the decades-long economic prosperity shared through trade between our nations and discussed plans to address the denuclearization of the Korean peninsula in the upcoming summit with North Korea. Prime Minster Abe thanked the President for his “remarkable leadership” on the world stage.

President Trump traveled to Hialeah, Florida this week to lead a Tax Cuts for Florida Small Businesses Roundtable event with local and state leaders. While there, President Trump commented on how Tax Day 2018 will be the last time taxpayers have to deal with complicated tax return filings. While millions of Americans have received bonuses and pay raises thanks to the President’s historic tax cuts, some of the benefits still lie ahead, including simplified tax returns that will help reduce unnecessary burdens on millions of Americans.

Last week, President Trump ordered air strikes on select targets in Syria to eliminate Bashar al Assad’s chemical weapons capabilities. The U.S. military acted with our coalition partners, Britain and France. It’s clear that the difference between President Trump and his predecessor when a dictator crosses a red line is that this President will take decisive action. The air strikes in Syria represent a limited engagement on the part of the U.S. Military, but they sent an important message to thuggish rulers from this U.S. President.

Today, sex trafficking is recognized as modern slavery and a plague on our nation and the world. President Trump signed a bill last week that will give law enforcement and victims new tools to fight sex trafficking. The legislation makes it easier to target websites that enable sex trafficking with legal action and demonstrates that President Trump will do everything he can to combat this brutal atrocity.

Amazon continues to exploit below-cost rates for shipping across America. To address this and other issues, President Trump convened a task force to study the United States Postal Service. The task force will submit a report with recommendations on companies such as Amazon and propose a restructuring of the Postal Service to prevent a taxpayer-funded bailout.

Once again, Syrian civilians were attacked with banned chemical weapons, resulting in the death of an estimated 40 people and many more injured. President Trump condemned these heinous acts, stating that blood is on the hands of Russia and Iran for backing the Assad regime. The President has stated that the Syrian government will pay a “big price.” After consulting his military leaders this week, the President is directing an appropriate response to this atrocity.

For decades, past Administrations agreed to bad trade deals. President Trump won’t let other countries take advantage of the United States. Since President Trump announced tariffs on China earlier this month, President Xi of China signaled a willingness to open Chinese markets and impose lower tariffs on American products. Xi also pledged to cut Chinese auto tariffs, to allow competition in banking, and to improve protections of U.S. intellectual property. President Trump is putting America First by encouraging our trading partners, like China, to ink fair and recporical trade deals. We won’t be taken advantage of any more thanks to President Trump.

President Trump has had enough. He has run out of patience with the obstructionist Democrats who refuse to negotiate a deal to fix illegal immigration. The President is taking tough measures by deploying the National Guard to the southern border, and he also signed a Presidential Memorandum this week to end “Catch and Release,” a policy of the last administration resulting in an influx of illegal aliens into our country. Ending “Catch and Release” is another step President Trump is taking to block the flow of violent criminals and drugs across our border, fulfilling his pledge to Make America Safe Again.

Welfare programs in the United States have delayed economic independence, perpetuated poverty, and weakened our cherished family bonds. In an effort to stop the entrapment of individuals into poverty, the President signed an Executive Order. This order creates work requirements for able-bodied adults on welfare to end a record-high welfare enrollment, despite near-record low unemployment. Thanks to President Trump, dignity through productivity is making a comeback.

Last week, President Trump signed a spending bill to keep the government open and funded, but he wasn’t happy about it. The President excoriated Congress for sending him a pork-laden bill that neglected DACA recipients and failed to fully fund the border wall. Nonetheless, President Trump signed a bill that prevented government shutdown and fulfilled his pledge to deliver critically needed new funding for our military that has been deficient for years. This is yet another example of why we need more MAGA candidates in Congress to support President Trump’s America First agenda.

As a candidate, President Trump made it clear that business as usual was over in trade between the United States and China. Now the President is once again fulfilling a promise by announcing new tariffs on up to $60 billion of Chinese imports over the misappropriation of U.S. intellectual property. While President Trump’s opponents in Washington wailed with fears of a massive trade war, leaders in China have actually made conciliatory remarks since then. As the Administration just announced a major new trade deal with South Korea, China is now at the negotiating table ready to improve trade relations with the U.S. thanks to Donald Trump’s bold leadership.

President Trump hit the road this week to tout his infrastructure plan with a visit to a union training facility in Richfield, Ohio. As a builder, the President understands the critical need to improve our infrastructure to support our economic growth. That’s why his innovative infrastructure plan will leverage public and private funding to get the job done. Now it’s time for Democrats to stop playing resistance politics and support President Trump’s bipartisan solution to fix our neglected infrastructure once and for all.

President Trump is taking the America First agenda to space. “America First Among the Stars” is the President’s National Space Strategy that works within his national security policy framework. This plan emphasizes national security in space while also making efforts to enable human expansion across the solar system. America has always been a pioneer for human innovation – and space exploration has always been a part of the unbridled American spirit.

President Trump visited New Hampshire this week to address the opioid crisis devastating communities across America. While there, President Trump offered words of comfort saying “Failure is not an option. Addiction is not our future.” The President is fighting hard to end the epidemic with a plan that will:

• Reduce drug demand through education, awareness, and preventing over-prescription.
• Cut off the flow of illicit drugs across our borders and within communities.
• Save lives now by expanding opportunities for proven treatments for opioid and other drug addictions.

This week, President Trump hosted a roundtable with law enforcement to address sanctuary cities. By providing a safe haven for criminal illegal aliens who are suspected or convicted of violent crimes, sanctuary cities are endangering our communities, law enforcers, and our entire country. The Department of Justice recently sued the State of California for passing statutes that prevent ICE and other federal law enforcement officers from access to criminal illegal aliens. This is one step the Trump Administration has taken as it continues to do everything in its power to stop these radical policies by faithfully enforcing our nation’s immigration laws.

This week, President Trump proclaimed March 20th as National Agriculture Day. On this day, the U.S. pays tribute to American farmers and reflects on the essential role agriculture plays in our society. In his proclamation, President Trump said, “We acknowledge the tremendous work ethic, ingenuity, determination, and perseverance of American farmers.” The President has demonstrated his deep commitment to agriculture through his Rural Prosperity Plan that will bring much-needed economic relief and infrastructure to these proud American communities.

The Republican-led House of Representatives is taking steps to enhance school safety with an essential new national policy. Last week, the House passed the STOP School Violence Act of 2018. This legislation protects American students and educators by authorizing state-based grants that will support evidence-based prevention programs. The Act now heads to the Senate for what the Administration hopes is a swift approval process to help ensure that our schools are safe havens for learning for all students in America.

It’s time to “build that wall!” A U.S. district court judge ruled in favor of President Trump’s border wall on Tuesday – delivering a major win for the administration and the country. Now there is no excuse for Congress not to deliver. While there is a 45-year low in illegal border crossings and the President is rooting MS-13 out of our country, we must finish the job by building a wall.

This week, the President and First Lady hosted governors from across the country. The main focus of the event was public safety and preventing tragedies like the recent attack in Parkland, Florida. The President discussed his five-part plan to tackle the issue of gun violence: Harden schools, confront the issue of mental health, improve our early warning response system, pursue common sense measures that protect citizens and the Second Amendment, and create a culture that cherishes the gift of life. As the president said: “We are here to solve this problem, once and for all.”

The rogue regime in North Korea was caught red-handed this week. According to the United Nations, North Korea sent chemical weapons to Syria – a major violation of international law. This is another reason why the Trump Administration announced the largest set of sanctions ever imposed on North Korea. President Trump has made it very clear that there will be no talks with North Korea until a complete, verifiable and irreversible process of de-nuclearization is in place on the Korean Peninsula.

For the second year in a row, the president addressed the Conservative Political Action Conference in Maryland to discuss his record of conservative achievements over the past 14 months. According to the CPAC straw poll: 93 percent approve of the job President Trump is doing and 79 percent say Republicans in Congress should do a better job of working with the president – a sure sign that the Trump agenda has become the will of conservative Americans.

The nation has turned its attention to the senseless school shooting in Parkland, Florida where 17 students were murdered and at least 14 others were wounded. President Trump and the First Lady visited with victims and first responders following the shooting and met incredible people they will never forget. The President is now engaging in an important national conversation about school safety and ways to prevent any future attacks. President Trump is taking steps towards banning gun bump stocks and strengthening background checks for gun purchasers. The President has made his intent very clear: “making our schools and our children safer will be our top priority.”

President Trump honored 12 extraordinary law enforcement officers and first responders this week with the Public Safety Officer Medal of Valor at the White House. The Medal of Valor is the highest award in the United States for public safety officers. All 12 of these award recipients deserve this great honor for their courage in the line of duty and their dedicated and selfless service to their communities.

It’s time to start investing in America’s future. President Trump has proposed a 1.5 trillion-dollar investment in infrastructure which includes 200 billion dollars in federal funding for roads, bridges, waterways, energy, and veteran’s hospitals. The plan will streamline the permitting approval process, deploy broadband in rural communities, among many other things. President Trump’s “Building a Stronger America” infrastructure plan is essential for rural America where the infrastructure is crumbling and inadequate – and it is essential for a stronger America and growing economy.

Remember when obstructionist Democrats said the tax reform bill would be “Armageddon” delivering mere “crumbs” to American workers? Well, according to CNBC, small business confidence hit a record high with new polls showing strong support for President Trump’s historic Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. We are still seeing news every day from more companies investing billions of dollars in our economy, and millions more American workers are getting pay raises. Under President Trump’s leadership, the GOP is the party of economic success and creating a boom that is helping millions of American families – not quite the Armageddon as predicted!

Since taking office, President Trump has confronted the North Korean dictator unlike any President in decades. And just recently, the governments of North and South Korea have had direct talks for the first time in 9 years. Despite this development, the Trump administration will continue to maintain pressure on the rogue regime. President Trump recently met with North Korean defectors, and Vice President Pence announced in Japan that the United States “will soon unveil the toughest and most aggressive round of economic sanctions on North Korea ever.” This is a President who will remain ever vigilant about this threat until he fulfills his ultimate goal of a completely denuclearized North Korea.

President Trump’s dedication to angel families – those who have lost loved ones to violent criminal illegal immigrants – is stronger than ever, as the illegal immigration debate takes center stage. This week, President Trump hosted a White House conference on the scourge of violence perpetrated by MS-13 nationwide and signed a Presidential Memorandum that establishes the National Vetting Center. The center will identify individuals seeking to enter the US who represent a threat to our national security, border security, homeland security, or public safety. President Trump will take every step possible to protect all American families from such heinous violence in the future.

DISGRACEFULAt the State of the Union address last week, President Trump asked Democrats to join him in standing up for America. What did they do? They just sat there…and sat there….and sat there. That’s why we highlighted the Democrats’ disgraceful acts of disrespect in our latest campaign ad. And while they sat in protest of helping all Americans, a whopping 75% of the country supported the President’s State of the Union address, including his call for unity. The President is undeterred as usual, and won’t let anything stand in the way of our success as a country…including sitting Democrats! Watch the ad by clicking here.

Have you looked at your paycheck lately? It’s February, which means that hard-working Americans will now be able to see their tax cut pay raise for the first time. The President traveled to Cincinnati this week to deliver the great news about our booming economy and the growing impact of his historic tax cuts. This presidential visit occurred as more and more American companies are reporting new bonuses, wage increases, and billions of dollars of investments in our economy, as a direct result of the President’s tax cuts. And no, we’re still not still not tired of winning yet!

The big story this week, of course, was the President’s first State of the Union address. Even the fake news media couldn’t help but acknowledge that President Trump was “inspirational” as he called for unity to find solutions for some of our biggest challenges. While the President highlighted some of his greatest successes in office, including our booming economy, he also placed a spotlight on everyday heroes and Americans who reflect the finest generosity of spirit

Addressing our booming economy, the President noted that “Our massive tax cuts provide tremendous relief for the middle class and small business.” This is just the beginning of benefits reaching the front door of middle class Americans. Starting this week, 91% of American workers will also start to receive a pay raise as their personal income tax cut takes effect. New jobs and massive investments in our economy are being announced by the day thanks to President Trump’s historic tax cuts.

On immigration, President Trump reminded us of the horrific priced paid by innocent victims of criminal illegal immigrants and MS-13 gang members. He offered Democrats a remarkable deal for DACA recipients so long as his other pillars are addressed, including ending chain migration, eliminating the visa lottery system, and providing an allocation of $25 billion to build a wall and secure our border. The President said he is “extending an open hand to work with the members of both parties…to protect our citizens of every background, color, religion and creed…(and) to defend Americans…Because Americans are dreamers too.”

Highlighting a universal need that should receive strong bipartisan support, President Trump called for the biggest infrastructure deal in American history, when he proposed a $1.5 trillion investment that includes local, state, federal, and private sector collaboration. He said: “We will build gleaming new roads, bridges, highways, railways, and waterways all across our land. And we will do it with American heart, American hands, and American grit.”

The President highlighted acts of courage, bravery, and sacrifice by everyday people, including a boy who honored our fallen heroes, a police officer and his wife who adopted the baby of a drug user, a Korean dissident who struggled through atrocities to be free, and many more heroic stories. Profiling these acts of courage and inspiring us to believe the American dream is once again in the reach of all citizens, President Trump reported: “…the State of our Union is strong because our people are strong. And together we are building a safe, strong and proud America.”

It is rare when people trapped in a brutal dictatorship take to the streets in peaceful protest demanding food and freedom. Such is the case in Iran, where the regime and the Revolutionary Guard have moved to quash several days of protests and slaughtered numerous freedom-seekers. As the protests in Iran grew nationwide, some elites in America called on President Trump to “be quiet” rather than call out the Iranian Mullahs. As you can imagine, this President will be anything but quiet when he sees good people clamoring for liberty and freedom. President Trump has called for very tough sanctions against Iran and will do everything in his power to support peaceful protesters there, and also find new ways to counter the largest state-sponsor of terrorism in the world. We must not and we will not let the courageous men and women of Iran down in their pursuit of freedom.

A consistent theme in the Trump Presidency has been bold and fearless leadership. President Trump is projecting that leadership to the world, showing that the United States will no longer bow to ungrateful nations who gladly take our foreign aid, but then disappoint and deceive us on major priorities, such as Pakistan failing to help us hunt terrorists. Nor will we allow the United Nations to squander our money while disrespecting and attacking us and our allies. The President is also fearlessly confronting dictators such as Kim Jong Un of North Korea, who President Trump has warned must be denuclearized, and Iran, whose support for terrorism and tyrannical treatment of its people must be stopped. As in 2017, President Trump will pursue his America First agenda to restore prosperity and security for all of the American people throughout 2018, through bold and fearless leadership.

President Trump, the First Lady, and our entire family rang in the New Year this week, along with the rest of the world. It was a great opportunity for us to take measure of a great year past as we look with optimism at the new year ahead. This includes a booming economy with 1.7 million new jobs, and $5.5 trillion in tax cuts of which $3.2 billion will go to American families. Also, the year included the nomination of 73 conservative federal judges with a record number approved, the rebuilding of our military to promote peace through strength, and expelling ISIS from Syria and Iraq. The accomplishments in 2017 are too many to recite here, but the good news is that President Trump has a bold agenda in store for us in 2018 as well. Here’s to a healthy and prosperous 2018 for all Americans!

New York City was the target of yet another terrorist attack this week, when a bomber tried to detonate explosives in the subway during rush hour. Fortunately, no one was killed and the New York City police took the bomber into custody almost immediately. It soon became clear that chain migration and the visa lottery system enabled this terrorist to attempt to bomb city commuters. That’s why after the Christmas holiday, Members of Congress should enact President Trump’s immigration policies to secure our border, establish a merit-based immigration system, and protect Americans from such attacks in the future.

President Donald Trump is making the American military great again. This week, the President signed the National Defense Authorization Act to support our national security and America First policies. This record defense budget fulfills the President’s pledge to rebuild our military and make it the “greatest fighting force in the history of the world.” With President Trump by their side and backing them up, the servicemen and women who defend our nation will have the equipment, resources, and funding they need to protect our freedoms throughout the years ahead.

President Trump signed a new policy directive this week, Space Policy Directive 1 or SPD-1 that he said will “restore American leadership in space.” Space experts from across the country hailed this new policy directive as a bold new commitment by the United States to return humans to the moon, enable travel to Mars, and open the deeper solar system beyond. Thanks to the President’s action, in the coming years, the United States will launch astronauts on an American-made rocket and crew system, and multiple American companies will provide the Pentagon with American engines and rockets to launch national security payloads. By refocusing our space program on feasible goals, President Trump is creating incentives for private industry that will create new 21st century space capabilities.

Last weekend, President Trump visited Mississippi to observe the opening of two extraordinary museums – the Mississippi Civil Rights Museum and the Mississippi State History Museum. The Civil Rights Museum establishes a critically important record of slavery, the oppression of African-Americans in our society, and the long struggle for civil rights and voting rights throughout the last century. We pray for inspiration from the example of those who sacrificed so much so that others might live in freedom, and as President Trump said, “We want our country to be a place where every child, from every background, can grow up free from fear, innocent of hatred, and surrounded by love, opportunity, and hope.”

Devastating wildfires are raging across southern California. Thomas is now the fifth worst wildfire to ever hit the state, which is affecting 230,000 acres, threatens to destroy 25,000 homes, and has already caused the evacuation of 100,000 residents. There are now 9,000 firefighters helping to end this rampage.

Thanks to their hard work, the lives of hundreds of thousands of people and their pets, and homes and businesses are all being saved. Yet, they could use financial support and prayers.

Please consider contributing to one the charitable organizations that are rallying to help Californians in the wildfire’s path, including the American Red Cross, The Salvation Army, United Way’s Thomas Fire Fund, The Humane Society of Ventura County, or others.

These donations will help supply shelters in the area, and will also help people rebuild their homes and communities, find and rehouse pets, and provide support and supplies to the brave people still battling these dangerous fires.

We want to thank these heroes for their continued hard work and offer our thoughts and prayers to everyone in California.

We hope everybody had a great Thanksgiving last week, and had the chance to celebrate with family, friends, and loved ones. On Thanksgiving Day, President Trump was honored to speak with members of each branch of the military deployed overseas via video conference, giving thanks to these brave members of our Armed forces. This included Army soldiers in Afghanistan, Marines in Iraq, Navy sailors cruising the Arabian Gulf, Air Force airmen in Turkey, and members of the Coast Guard in Kuwait. Vice President and Mrs. Pence also delivered Thanksgiving greetings to members of our military and their families when they visited Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. While we have so much to be grateful for, we are especially thankful this year for the dedicated service of our men and women in uniform, including those deployed overseas. God bless them and their families throughout this holiday season.

President Trump held an event honoring three of the thirteen surviving Navajo Code Talkers of World War II. The Marine Corps recruited 29 young Navajos, not telling them what they are being recruited for, and then took them to a top-secret location just east of San Diego, where they created a military code to be used in the Pacific. Eventually, by the time the war ended in 1945, there were 400 Navajos that went to war. And because of the effectiveness the 260 code words grew to 600, subject to memory only. In every battle — from the frontline, beach command post, command ship, all other ships – Code Talkers were used. This was a major accomplishment for the allies during the war and on the island of Iwo, in the first 48 hours of battle over 800 messages were sent by the 5th Marine Division. Major Connor said: Without Navajo, Marines would never have taken the island of Iwo Jima.

For the third time, North Korea’s dictator, Kim Jong Un, oversaw the launch of an Inter-Continental Ballistic Missile, claiming that this latest test proves the nation is a nuclear power and that it now has the capability of reaching mainland USA with a nuclear warhead. After a briefing from Defense Secretary Mattis, President Trump did not hesitate to remind us that his policy of a denuclearized North Korea will be realized under his leadership. Following consultations with allies and other world leaders, President Trump and Japanese Prime Minister Abe announced that they agreed to “strengthen our deterrence capability against the North Korean threat.” Thanks to President Trump’s recent trip to Asia, American ties with our Asian allies have never been stronger, and thanks to the President’s leadership, the threat from North Korea will finally be confronted with strength and resolve.

It’s crunch time for tax reform. Now that the House and Senate both passed their versions of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, we are closer than ever to the largest tax cut in American history. This legislation by both chambers will fulfill President Trump’s commitment to the American people by ensuring that…

· The job creator’s tax rate is lowered
· The Middle Class gets the tax break they deserve
· And our country repatriates billions of dollars back onto our shores

President Trump continued to demonstrate his full commitment to tax reform when he traveled to St. Charles, Missouri this week to deliver a speech and promote the passage of his tax plan. Now that the fate of the middle class miracle is in the home stretch with votes on the final package pending, please keep the pressure on your Representative and Senators by calling them today!

During his historic trip to Asia, President Trump demonstrated his strength and leadership on the world stage once again. In his meetings with world leaders, the President fought for fair and reciprocal trade agreements, working to end years of imbalanced trade that has left too many Americans behind. The President also secured new business deals with sales by American companies totaling at least $300 billion that will produce new jobs for American workers. As he reported on the success of his trip, including making progress to advance peace and prosperity in Asia, the President said it best: “America is back!”

Make America Great Again

The President secured a big victory for working men and women on Thursday, when the House passed his historic tax reform plan. This plan will make our economy competitive again, creating millions of jobs and providing a pay raise to middle class families. Now it’s the Senate’s turn. Honoring our Veterans has been a top priority for President Trump since he first took office, which he demonstrated again last week when he signed a proclamation honoring the veterans of the Vietnam War. The President has set a new standard for the support we provide veterans who have sacrificed so much to defend our freedoms. These include major reforms at the Veterans Administration, securing almost $4 billion in new funding, new veterans employment programs, Pets for Vets, and more. Veterans can be sure that the President will not rest until his reforms and policies to support our military heroes are fully implemented under his leadership.

It’s hard to believe, but it’s already been one year since the historic election of Donald Trump as President. In that time, the President has already produced great results through his leadership. For instance, the American economy is already soaring with nearly 1.5 million new jobs created, consumer and business confidence at their highest levels in 15 years, and the economy expanding by 3% for two quarters in a row. This has already been a year of great accomplishments, yet we’re just getting started thanks to strong supporters like you working with us to Make America Great Again!

Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims of last Sunday’s horrific, deadly attack, in Sutherland Springs, Texas and their entire community. This heinous act of evil occurred as the victims and their families were in their place of sacred worship at the First Baptist Church. Thankfully, a heroic neighbor acted quickly and decisively to chase the attacker away and bring an end to this evil, though so many lives were already lost. In dark times such as these, Americans do what we do best: we pull together. We join hands, lock arms, and through the tears and the sadness, we stand strong. Please join us in praying for the good people of Sutherland, Texas. We will never leave their side.

The U.S. economy continues to experience worker-friendly growth. The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that nonfarm payrolls grew by 261,000 jobs in October while the unemployment rate fell to 4.1 percent, the lowest rate since the Year 2000. This brings the total of new jobs created to 1.5 million since President Trump took office. Now, more than 80 percent of people polled believe the American dream is within their reach. President Trump was excited to build on this good news with the announcement that Broadcom Limited (Global Chip Maker) is moving its headquarters from Singapore back to the United States. With this commitment, more than $20 billion in annual revenue will come back to American cities, towns, and workers.

Last Friday, President Trump departed for Asia, on what will be the longest trip to the continent by an American president in more than a quarter century. The President has several major objectives on this trip, including demonstrating our nation’s commitment to Asia, strengthening international resolve to de-nuclearize North Korea, promoting a free and open Indo-Pacific, and advancing American prosperity. This trip will strengthen U.S. alliances and partnerships with visits by the President to Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, the Philippines, and China. President Trump is addressing a wide array of strategic issues with foreign leaders, including a huge announcement of billions of dollars in agreements with China.

Over the last decade too many hard-working Americans have struggled to find good-paying jobs, make ends meet, and provide for their families. They are the focus of President Trump’s tax plan. Strengthening and growing the middle class, and keeping more money in peoples’ pockets, is how we will build a stronger America. At the same time, taxpayers deserve a system that is more fair and simple. America’s tax code should be working for, not against, middle-class families. There is still time to contact your representatives and senators to encourage them to support this tax plan!

In the wake of Tuesday’s terrorist attack in New York City, our thoughts and prayers are with all of the victims and their families. Immediately after the attack, President Trump committed his full support to the New York City Police Department. The NYPD was proudly represented by the first responders who stopped the terrorist and rendered immediate aid to the victims. While we mourn the lost lives from this attack, and the details are still under review, it is a harsh reminder that we must never admit foreign nationals to the United States who pose a terrorist threat to our nation. President Trump’s immigration policies put Americans first and should be fully implemented as soon as possible to help prevent similar attacks in the future and save lives.

Democrats in Washington claim that the effort to repeal and replace Obamacare is dead, but they don’t understand President Trump. While the economy is starting to improve under the President’s leadership, and tax cuts are just around the corner, this President will not rest until he provides relief from skyrocketing premiums for hardworking American families. This week we released a new campaign ad to remind people that the President is fully committed to repealing and replacing Obamacare. Our new ad sends a clear message to the Democrats: end the obstruction and work with our President. That’s what the American people expect and deserve. You can view our new ad by visiting the video section of our Facebook page.

On Monday, President Trump awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor to retired Army Captain, Gary Michael Rose. From September 11 through September 14, 1970, Captain Rose repeatedly ran into enemy fire to provide critical medical aid to his partners, using his own body on one occasion to shield a wounded American from harm. “[Y]our will to endure, your love for your fellow soldier, your devotion to your country inspires us all,” the President said. “Nations are formed out of the strength and patriotism that lives in the hearts of our heroes.”

                    WEEK 40: Morning in America

This week marked Ronald Reagan’s Tax Reform Act of 1986 and the start of one of the longest economic booms in American history. Unfortunately, since that time our government officials have let us down and we have reverted to becoming one of the highest taxed nations in the developed world. But, President Trump plans to change that. In promoting his historic tax plan, The President said: “The tax cuts and reforms of the 1980s show that when we empower the American people to pursue their dreams, they will not only achieve greatness and create prosperity beyond imagination, they will build an entirely new world.” Hard working Americans desperately need tax cuts to begin recovering from our decade of economic stagnation. It is time we ignite America’s middle-class miracle once again.

President Trump hosted Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong of Singapore, at the White House this week. The leaders highlighted the strong relationship between our two countries, demonstrated in the purchase of 39 Boeing wide-body aircraft by Singapore Airlines, valued at $13.8 billion dollars! And all that money comes straight to Boeing, right here in the USA. Singapore has been an anchor for the presence of the United States in the Indo-Pacific, underpinning regional peace and prosperity for the region and the United States. We look forward to President Trump’s historic trip to Asia next month, including stops in Japan, Vietnam, South Korea, the Philippines, and China where he will build positive alliances with our other allies in the region.

Preliminary data indicates that approximately 64,000 Americans died last year of drug overdoses in the United States, the majority of them from opioid abuse. That’s nearly 100 Americans, on average, who die each day from opioids, robbing so many of our youth of their potential. This is a genuine crisis that President Trump is working tirelessly to address. And this week, the President declared it a public health emergency prompting states across the country to act more rapidly to combat this epidemic. As a Nation, and with the support of President Trump, we can come together to save lives and end this crisis once and for all.

WEEK 39: Tax Reform for ALL

President Trump is working harder than ever to bring tax reform to middle class Americans, including the biggest tax cut in American history. This week, the President took his case to conservative leaders, seeking their support in pushing Congress to pass a tax reform bill, he said, “We need…help…to get our tax cuts through the house, through the Senate, and to my desk for signature.” Now is the time for all Republicans in Congress and maybe even patriotic Democrats to come together and support major tax reform that will boost wages and deliver families a $4,000 annual pay raise. We must get Congress on board, in order to deliver tax relief to hard-working Americans. Call and remind your Representative and Senators to support the President’s Middle Class Miracle today.

In the wake of Congressional failure to repeal and replace Obamacare, The President signed an Executive Order promoting healthcare choice and competition across the United States. The President’s action expands access to plans that let small businesses and some individuals band together to buy insurance across state lines, lifts limits on the sale of short-term insurance, and allows consumers to use Health Reimbursement Arrangements to pay their insurance premiums. This Executive Order employs free market solutions as a first step towards the full repeal and replacement of Obamacare. This is proof positive that the President is as committed as ever to deliver relief for Americans struggling with the skyrocketing costs of healthcare in our country.

President Trump announced his Administration’s strategy for addressing the rogue regime in Iran. This includes neutralizing Iran’s destabilizing influence and constraining its aggression, particularly its support for terrorism and militants. The President announced that he cannot and will not certify the Iran nuclear deal, and instead directed his Administration to work closely with Congress and our allies to address continued threats from this country. Affirming that his first responsibility as President is to ensure the safety and security of the American people, President Trump called for bold steps to confront the Iranian regime’s support for terrorism across the Middle East, and ensure that they never acquire nuclear weapons.

As Americans grow increasingly frustrated with the political class in Washington, they continue to turn to President Trump for his leadership and commitment to turn the economy around for middle class families and every hard-working American. Americans contributed a total of $10.1 million during the third quarter fundraising period, which included $1.2 million in small donor contributions of $200 or less. For the year, the reelection committee of the President has raised over $25 million. Our latest report on campaign fundraising demonstrates that support for President Trump’s policies and passion is stronger than ever. Most importantly, we continue to see regular Americans make small donations in record numbers for a non-election year. Steve Wynn, Chairman and CEO of Wynn Resorts and Finance Chair of the Republican National Committee (RNC), joined Bill Bennett, on his podcast, The Bill Bennett Show, to discuss the RNC’s record-setting fundraising hauls. In the month of July alone, the RNC outraised the Democratic National Committee by over $6 million! Listen to the full interview by clicking here.

Devastating wildfires are still raging across California, taking numerous lives, destroying more than 2,000 homes and businesses, and threatening the health and safety of people across the state. Vice President Pence visited California’s emergency management headquarters where he announced that President Trump ordered Federal aid to supplement State and local recovery efforts in the areas impacted by the wildfires. On Wednesday, President Trump addressed manufacturers and truckers in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, enlisting their support to get his tax reform plan passed in Congress. While there, the President said, “When your trucks are moving, America is growing. (We are) taking historic steps to remove the barriers that slow you down. America First means putting American truckers first.” The President also announced that, under his tax plan, the typical American family will get a $4,000 pay raise. This is yet another reason Congress must get behind the President’s plan to reduce family and business taxes. Congress should never forget exactly why voters sent them to Washington — to get things done and make life better for the American people. Please keep contacting your U.S. Representative and Senators and tell them to support President Trump’s tax reform plan to make the “Middle Class Miracle” a reality this year.

The Trump Administration is ready to work with Congress to achieve real immigration reform, and now there is a blueprint for them to follow. The administration just released new principles that reflect the immigration issues President Trump promoted throughout the 2016 campaign: Building a southern border wall, ending sanctuary cities, limiting visa overstays, bolstering our law enforcement personnel with new ICE officers and prosecutors. These measures will secure our communities, protect American workers, and promote financial success to Make America Safe Again and Make America Great Again.

It is estimated that by 2018 there will be fewer pages of federal regulations for the first time in American history. This is because President Trump is already “the most effective deregulatory president in American history,” according to former U.S. House Speaker Newt Gingrich. By reducing burdensome regulations, the President has begun to fuel real growth in the U.S economy, with quarterly GDP exceeding 3% for the first time in over two years. Now the EPA has proposed to repeal the Clean Power Plan as another step to relieve burdens on American businesses and workers, including the struggling coal industry. The CPP is a federal overreach whose repeal will bring the rule of law back to the EPA, creating new jobs in the energy sector and reducing energy costs for consumers. This is great news for American workers throughout the economy.

Earlier in the week, President Trump and the First Lady traveled to Puerto Rico to comfort the survivors of Hurricane Maria, show their support, and to receive a briefing on federal disaster relief efforts. The President delivered remarks at a National Guard Base, distributed supplies at a local church, and thanked all of the first responders and citizens supporting disaster relief. President Trump addressed the National Association of Manufacturers this week to promote his tax plan that will help companies create new American jobs throughout the manufacturing sector. Tax reform is the next step in the President’s agenda, though his America First policies are already fueling tremendous confidence in our economy. A new CNBC poll found that 43 percent of the public believes the economy is excellent or good. That’s a record high in the 10-year history of this survey. While businesses and consumers are growing more confident thanks to the President’s leadership, he needs Congress to support his tax cuts for middle class Americans to Make America Prosperous Again, for manufacturers and the entire economy.

After enduring the effects of Hurricane Irma, Puerto Rico was hit by Hurricane Maria, which has caused catastrophic damage and left millions of people without power. Disaster relief efforts are already underway, but analysts say it could take years for them to rebuild. President Trump has been working hard to ensure that federal agencies are coordinating disaster relief closely with island officials, and has made clear that we will stand by our fellow Americans in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands through their long recovery ahead. The President plans to visit the islands on Tuesday to assess the federal disaster response and lend his support. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone impacted.

President Trump is going to make our tax system more attractive for investment and job creation.

After an extensive review, President Trump has further strengthened security standards for some foreign travelers coming to America by building on his Executive Order implemented earlier this year. The Trump Administration worked in good faith with foreign governments to implement minimum security requirements to restrict potential terrorists from reaching America. Several countries remain inadequate in their identity-management protocols and information-sharing practices or present sufficient risk factors that make restrictions necessary for travelers from those countries. Despite unwarranted challenges to his previous travel limits, President Trump will never stop working to fix our broken immigration system and fulfill his solemn pledge to protect the American people from those who would enter our country and do us harm.

This week, President Trump delivered his first address to the United Nations General Assembly in New York City. It was praised as the best speech of his presidency by former U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. John Bolton, and many others. In his remarks, President Trump outlined his Administration’s policy of “Principled Realism,” a clear pronouncement of America First principles as applied to the greatest threats the world faces today. The President said that America is “among the greatest forces for good in the history of the world, and the greatest defenders of sovereignty, security, and prosperity for all.” Trump supporters around the country should be very proud of how the President called for accountability on behalf of all countries to own their futures and join the United States under his leadership in a new vision for peace in the world, including addressing threats we face from North Korea, Iran, ISIS, and more.

President Trump and the White House are coordinating with FEMA and other agencies to monitor and provide support for those affected by Hurricane Maria that struck Puerto Rica just a week after Hurricane Irma. The President quickly approved an emergency declaration for Puerto Rico, providing Federal assistance to supplement the Commonwealth’s and local response efforts, including addressing the power outage affecting nearly the entire island territory. Our hearts and prayers are with the people of Puerto Rico, as well as all the other areas affected by Hurricane Maria and the other recent natural disasters.

President Trump visited Joint Base Andrews in Prince George’s Country, Maryland to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the United States Air Force. Addressing our great airmen and women, the President expressed confidence about our ability to confront threats worldwide. “Each of you is a living, breathing symbol of our great Nation,” the President declared. “Nothing inspires more confidence in our friends or incites more fear in our enemies.” We all join President Trump in congratulating our proud Navy on this special occasion.

The President is successfully fulfilling his campaign promise of cutting government regulation and getting rid of costly Obama-era regulations. President Trump’s “one in, two out” plan that requested agencies remove two old regulations for each new one has already saved $645 million and is expected to save estimated $600 million in the future. In fact, the President exceeded that goal by actually eliminating 16 old rules for every new one in his first six months in office, contributing to quarterly GDP of an astonishing 3% in the second quarter, Next up on the President’s agenda is tax cuts for the middle class to continue to deliver on his promise to Make America Great Again!

On Monday, America marked 16 years since the terror attacks that murdered over 3,000 people. While we all remember the fallen and their families, we also marked the occasion to remember the courage an bravery of our first responder as well as American citizens who answered the call of heroism that day. At a commemoration, President Trump said, “Our eyes were opened to the depths of the evil we face but in that hour of darkness we also came together with renewed purpose. Our differences never looked so small. Our common bonds never felt so strong.” Americans today remain steadfast in our commitment to liberty, to human dignity, and to one another. And we will never forget September 11th, 2001.

With Hurricane Irma bearing down on Florida, and since Hurricane Harvey made landfall on August 25th, 2017 is shaping up to be the costliest hurricane season on US record. President Trump and the First Lady returned to Texas last Saturday where they met with the people directly affected by Hurricane Harvey. In addition to thanking the incredible men and women working tirelessly to support their fellow Americans, The President and First Lady were thrilled to help with relief efforts in shelters by serving food and providing comfort and compassion to people left homeless by the flood. They later visited Louisiana to thank outstanding citizens, including first responders, and the Cajun Navy. The President is now monitoring the situation very closely for people caught in the path of Hurricane Irma in Florida, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. We are praying for the safety of all of those people affected by this storm.

President Trump continued his campaign for real tax cuts and tax reform as he visited workers from an energy company in Mandan, North Dakota on Wednesday. He also met with congressional leaders and members of his administration to begin work on one of the most important promises he made to the American people. The President is firmly committed to unleashing America’s economic potential through his plan for significant tax cuts and tax reform, and put it best when he said, “We’re going to cut taxes. We’re going to reduce taxes for people, for individuals, for middle-income families. We are going to reduce taxes for our companies. And those companies are going to produce jobs.”

This week, President Trump rescinded the previous Administration’s unlawful Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program and has begun to end the program responsibly. The DACA program was never intended to be permanent—even President Obama admitted it was a temporary, extraordinary measure that was an excessive overreach of the Executive’s constitutional role. President Trump is now providing a window of opportunity for Congress to finally act and create a real solution that has been elusive under the past leadership of both Democrats and Republicans. As with other issues, the President is leading with heart and compassion – but through a lawful Democratic process once and for all.

Hurricane Harvey could be deemed the costliest natural disaster in U.S. history with early estimates totaling $160 billion dollars in damage already. On Tuesday, President Trump and the First Lady toured the affected Texas areas hit by Hurricane Harvey. The President praised the work being done across the state by government agencies at all levels, including First Responders and private citizens willing to lend a hand to help their fellow American. President Trump is proud to see Americans uniting to help those in need in the wake of this disaster, reminding us that we are all one American family. The entire administration has been working with Texas Governor Greg Abbott and officials across Texas and Louisiana to bring the full resources of the federal government to bear. All of our prayers are with everyone affected by this terrible disaster.

Right now, our country is seeing an economic comeback of historic proportions and President Trump is fighting to bring Main Street back by reducing the crushing tax burden on our companies and workers. Our catastrophic tax code costs Americans millions of jobs, trillions of dollars, and billions of hours spent on compliance and paper work. The President’s goal is to fundamentally reform tax code for the first time in more than 30 years and the American people are behind him as like no other issue. In order to do this, President Trump is asking Congress to work together with his administration to create the 21st century tax code that all Americans deserve! Already this year, we have seen the fruits of President Trump’s labor. Just this week, 2nd Quarter GDP was revised to a remarkable 3%. If the President’s mission to deregulate our country has this much impact already, imagine what can be accomplished with historic new tax cuts and simpler tax code. If we unite in the name of common sense and common good, then we will add millions of new jobs, bring back trillions of dollars, and we will give America the competitive advantage that it so desperately needs.

This legislation will streamline the lengthy process that veterans undergo when appealing their claims for disability benefits with the Veterans Administration. More than 470,000 veterans are still waiting for decisions regarding their appeals, and it is time they stopped having to wait. President Trump stated: “No longer will veterans be kept waiting for years to get an answer to their appeals. They will receive timely updates and they will get decisions much more quickly, in a fraction of the time.” Veterans across the country should know that businessman Donald Trump will continue to fix Veterans Affairs so they can receive the benefits and care they deserve thanks to their loyal and selfless service to America.

Vice President Pence met with Governor Rick Scott, Senator Marco Rubio, and Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart, as well as Venezuelan families discussing with them the tragic stories coming out of Venezuela. Stories of grinding poverty, families unable to find the food and medicine they need, and innocent children who are perishing every day from starvation in a country in turmoil. President Trump followed up by signing an Executive Order imposing strong, new financial sanctions on Venezuela. The Maduro dictatorship continues to deprive the Venezuelan people of food and medicine, imprison his democratically-elected opposition, and violently suppress freedom of speech in his country. The President has made it clear that we will not stand by as Venezuela crumbles. He is calling on Venezuela to restore democracy, hold free and fair elections, release all political prisoners immediately, and end the repression of the Venezuelan people. We continue to stand with the people of Venezuela during these trying times.

Early this week, North Korea launched a missile over Japan in their latest ballistic missile test. As you know, prior tests already earned Kim Jong Un significant new sanctions on his country, adding to the suffering of his own people. The world has received North Korea’s latest message loud and clear: this regime has signaled its contempt for its neighbors, for all members of the United Nations, and for all peace-seeking nations. President Trump stated, “threatening and destabilizing actions only increase the North Korean regime’s isolation in the region and among all nations of the world. All options are on the table.” Americans are relieved to have a President whose leadership and strength will lead to a more peaceful world without fear of intimidation or attack from those who reject the freedoms and liberty he will defend for us and our allies in the world.
